I decided to go with the pom pom ribbon trim for a few reasons.
One. I just absolutely adore pom poms : ) and Two. It just felt like “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
and that is exactly what I was going for!

I also got the metallic sand ric rac for a little something extra in my holiday decor.

{Tutorial}
So this is really easy to make, I promise!
The hardest part is making the cone!
The hardest part is making the cone!
First.
take your 12×12 card stock and make a cone.
To do this I tied a string around a pencil, held the end of the string in one corner and used it like a compass to draw from one corner to the next to get a pie shape.
If this doesn’t make sense there are tons of tutorials online… I just kinda combined a few tutorials. Or you can just buy a paper mache cone (I couldn’t find any at Hobby Lobby)!

Next.
Take your pom pom trim and figure out an order of the colors. I chose to go green, aqua, red.
Start at the bottom and glue them down using your hot glue gun.

Wrap it around, gluing a few spots along the way until you meet back to where you started. Glue right next to the raw edge and trim off the excess.
